Rare 50-Year-Old Malt for Sale
A distillery released its oldest and rarest whisky on January 8, 2002.

The Balvenie Distillery in Speyside is to sell its 50-year-old single malt, the Balvenie Cask 191.

Only 83 bottles, each worth £6,000, exist and bosses plan to sell them to buyers in Europe and the US.

David Stewart, Balvenie’s malt master, said: “This is the first expression of The Balvenie to be released, having matured solely in a sherry cask.

“It has defied the trials of time by retaining both its alcoholic strength and character over such a long maturation period.

“With such a small number of bottles available, it is by far the most collectible expression of The Balvenie and we expect a lot of interest.”

Each bottle is hand-signed by Mr Stewart.

The Balvenie is regarded as one of Scotland’s finest single malt Scotch whiskies and features a range of award-winning products.

Whisky LINX!

Broken Cork Special!

Our bottle of Cuarenta y Tres still has a broken cork and still isn't empty. Stop by while supplies last and have a taste of this most excellent Spanish liqueur!

Liqueur Closeout!

John O. Moritz had an outstanding liqueur collection. The first problem is that a little liqueur goes a LONG way and we'd have to have people over every night for a year or twa before we made a serious dent in the stocks. The second problem is that, like the Cuarenta y Tres above, the corks are starting to fail and the worse thing that could happen is that we'd have to pitch more bottles in the bin than we have already. So, while supplies last, a variety of liqueurs free to a good hame. You've got to come by & pick them up, though.
