About That Photo
The photographic image that appears in the banner on the Parsonage Data Services home page is a slice from a photo taken by Howard Parsons outwith Ruthven Barracks in Kingussie, Scotland during the Ceilidh celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Clan Macpherson Association in August of 2006.
Howard was one of the stewards for the event and was in charge of distributing and lighting the torches for the procession back to the Duke of Gordon hotel. Since he had already seen most of the rehersal for that evening's entertainments, Howard was loitering out in front of the ruin, smoking a pipeful of MacBarens Scottish Blend.
He glanced over to the east as the sun was going down and was treated to this spectacular scene. Luckily, he had his camera in his pocket.
