Rules Governing The Clan Macpherson Message Board
The Clan Macpherson Message Board is provided by Parsonage.Net and it's owner, JVP Associates,
for use by members of the Clan Macpherson Association, as well as Macphersons in general, as a place to post notices, genealogical inquiries, advertisments, etc. To insure that this facility is used in a responsible manner and reflects in a positive manner on Clan Macpherson, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Keep All Discussions On-Topic And Of A General Nature -- While on-going discussions are welcomed and encouraged, please limit them to topics that would be of interest to visitors to the Clan Macpherson Mid-Atlantic Region web-site. While some amount of topic drift is to be expected, please either stay on-topic as much as possible or start a new topic thread. If the discussion devolves to two parties debating minutae, it is probably time to continue via e-mail rather than the message board.
- No Obscenity Or Profanity Will Be Tolerated. -- It is hope of the Webmaster that Macphersons of all ages will use the message board facility. To that end, anyone using profanity or engaging in obscenity will have all their messages purged by the
Webmaster.
- No Flaming Will Be Permitted. -- Messages that denigrate or belittle (Flames - Short for "flaming arrows") another user or, indeed any person
in general, will be deleted. If you have an axe to grind, please use e-mail. This is NOT the place to vent your spleen.
- Want-Ads Are Limited To Those Items Of A Scottish/Macpherson Nature -- Advertisments for Clan plaques, cross-stitch pattterns, kilts, genealogical
services, etc. are always welcome. This is not, however, the place to try and sell your bass boat.
- Always Employ Good Taste In Messages. -- Messages and/or coversations should be polite and users should comport themselves as adults.
The webmaster will, from time to time, review the status of messages, topic threads, etc. Out of
date postings or those which serve no legitimate purpose will be purged.
