What's NewJune 18, 2005Started on a clean-up and reoganisation of this website. Rearranged the photo albums into the Gallery section. Added photos from Den Helas. Added the activity reports. More to do as soon as there's time. March 6, 2005Updated the calendar to reflect 2005 schedule. Added link for 2005 AGM in Albany, NY. September 8, 2004Disabled the old message board because of spammers and added the new one. The old message board is still viewable for content purposes. November 21, 2003Added link about Waltzing Matilda to the Resources Page. Also organised things a bit into American, Canadian and Austrailian categories. Added link to Lady Cluny's obituary on the memorial page. January 6, 2003Added link to interactive map covering the Macpherson Hameland to the Macpherson Resources as well as the main menu. November 30, 2002Have been quite busy over the past 10 days. Added more entries to the Resources Page, News items to Clan News, Guestbook and more as well as the Fruitcake and Empire Biscuit recipes. November 20, 2002Added some more links to the resources page - Mainly McPherson, Kansas and James Macpherson. November 18, 2002This website has been more like a grave site for the past few years. A lack of time and useable news and information has been the main holdup. An email from a Macpherson cousin in Canada asking to borrow some graphics spurred me into action and I am happy to say that there is some new material posted. The Parsonage.net website recently moved from a Windows environment to a Linux host. Server configuration problems prevented the Message Board from working properly and the new hosting platform has enabled this feature to resume operation. I also fixed a minor bug in the Perl script that drives this feature. A photo album of the 2002 CMA gathering in Scotland has been added as well as a list of Macpherson Resources. This last bit is somewhat thin at the moment but will grow over time. The idea behind the Resources page in not to necessarily duplicate what already exists on the Clan websites but rather, to list links, books, etc. that will be of general or particular interest to members of the CMA and allied families. The list is not very well organised at the moment. Once it grows a bit more, I'll sort everything into categories. In the near future, I plan to add photo albums of Kingussie and Newtonmore as well as updating some of the information on this site. Contributions of news, photos and general information both within and outwith the CMA Mid-Atlantic Region are most welcome. Ideally, this website will be a benefit to the Association at large as well as the local users. Howard Parsons - Webmaster |
