Sheila, Lady Cluny Endowment Fund Announced
Following the sudden death of my mother, Lady Cluny, many of you have asked if you could contribute in any way to some sort of memorial. The Cluny family responded that we would very much like something to be done that would benefit the Clan Macpherson Museum in Newtonmore. A suggestion from the United States has been that an Endowment Fund be set up that would generate income that would be sufficient to finance certain Museum objectives, in particular to do with education and training. With the full backing of the Cluny family and the Trustees of the Museum, an endowment fund will now be set up. Preliminary details will be published in the 2004 Creag Dhubh magazine. Fuller details, along with various bits of paperwork, will be available in early Spring 2004. We are indebted to you all for the letters, cards, e-mails, telephone calls and general all round support that have been given to Cluny and the rest of us since the end of October. Many people have said that the one thing that keeps you going through times as hard as these are family - no one outside the Clan has any real idea of how big our family really is! With best wishes |
